LTC Breakfast on Future Technology in Art at the Royal Academy of Art

20 June 2019

We were excited to introduce our club members and select group of guests to our distinguished panel of experts, who reflected on new technologies in the art world. Our panelists, Tom Best (CEO of The Auction Collective), Harry Blain (Founder of Sedition), Bernardine Brocker Wieder (CEO of Vastari), Robert Norton (CEO of Verisart) and Fabrizio D’Aloia (CEO of ArtSquare.io) provided their insights in an engaging and lively session.  We also had Jan Lessig (Founder of Muzeeo) demonstrate the innovations in Augmented Reality.

Set in the beautiful Royal Academy of Arts, the discussion focused on LTC’s white paper, which highlights how technology will impact the art industry and community - from creating to enjoying, investing in and collecting art.  Future technology can be an enhancer - enabling discovery, facilitating sharing and driving interest within wider and younger demographic. With artists such as David Hockney using his iPad to create art the future for technology and art looks bright.  As yet there are still new areas to be discovered and real opportunities for investment in technology in art.
